Contributor Information
Welcome to AtheistConnect, here you will find some helpful information and policies for contributors.
We run WordPress software to organize our periodical and you will have to get familiar with it. If you have any problems feel free to visit wordpress.org to learn more, they have great resources.
To start with, unless told otherwise, you are a contributor. Which limits you to writing, editing and deleting only your own posts. You can not publish those posts yourself. When working on a post please keep the status (at the top right) as “draft”, changing it to “pending review” only when you are ready for us to post it.
At times we will not post immediately, we may save them for a few days. If you have something topical (news, etc.) feel free to e-mail us and tell us it needs expedited. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR ARTICLE WILL BE PUBLISHED. If it is not, do not worry. Keep trying!!!
Feel free to upload images, and even if you do not use images in your post we would prefer if you set a featured image for all posts. This can be done on the bottom right of the post editing. If you don’t we will probably do it for you. This is the image that shows up only on the home page to make it look sexy.
Assign only one category to your post. Featuring a post is our choice, if you want yours featured write a good post (aka don’t use the featured category.) Tag at your own free will. ALWAYS INSERT A LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST THAT LEADS BACK TO YOUR BLOG OR WEBPAGE!
Show respect for other contributors. Read their articles and comment. The more popular this site gets, the more popular your blog or webpage will get.
